Frequently Asked Questions

How does Disintox® differ from chlorine bleach?

Unlike chlorine bleach (sodium hypochlorite), Chlorine Dioxide (ClO2) is an oxidizing agent, not a chlorinating agent. It works through selective oxidation without creating harmful THMs or chlorinated by-products. It's effective at much lower concentrations (100 PPM vs 1000+ PPM) and is non-corrosive and non-toxic.

Is Disintox® safe for use in occupied hospital areas?

For surface disinfection, yes - when used as directed, it's safe around patients and staff. For fumigation/air decontamination, the area must be vacant during the 3-4 hour treatment period, followed by a 10-15 minute ventilation period before reoccupation.

What is the shelf life and storage requirement?

Disintox® tablets have a long shelf life when stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once dissolved in water, the solution can be stored air-tight for up to 7 days while maintaining effectiveness.

Does Disintox® contribute to antimicrobial resistance?

No. Chlorine Dioxide (ClO2) works through oxidation which physically destroys pathogens at the cellular level. This mechanism prevents the development of antimicrobial resistance, unlike antibiotics or some conventional disinfectants.

What documentation do you provide for regulatory compliance?

We provide comprehensive documentation including: Patent Certificate, EDL Maharashtra listing, Dubai Municipality reports, University certification for COVID-19 efficacy, SDS (Safety Data Sheet), efficacy test reports, and drug licence numbers for procurement compliance.
